The inspiration for this RHS pattern:
The thistle is taken from a watercolour of a Queen Elizabeth II autograph by Emily Sartain in 1952. With forget-me-nots from a watercolour painted on Tunbridge Wells Common by Lilian Snelling in the summer of 1900.
